Right on the mark!

You Are Likely an Only Child
At your darkest moments, you feel frustrated. At work and school, you do best when you're organizing. When you love someone, you tend to worry about them.
In friendship, you are emotional and sympathetic.Your ideal careers are: radio announcer, finance, teaching, ministry, and management. You will leave your mark on the world with organizational leadership, maybe as the author of self-help books.

The box

I got home from work and she was starting with the idea of making a puppet show with the box she's sitting in. Elvis, on the other hand just has his hedgehog on his mind. She's trying to do the baton and I suck so I'm not really any help. Cute how she still fits in a box that size. We're gonna go get something put together for lunch. Hope all is well with you.

She's 10!

Probably the last year for Chuck E. Cheese but it was fun. It was storming and pooring rain last year on her birthday when we went there and same exact thing this year. High of 83 degrees, but raining cats and dogs. The bottom is a picture of most of her My Littlest Pet Shop thingy's. The cookie is a stand in for the cake I dropped on the floor... and the rest of the day was a blurr. Hope yours is going well! I'm going to bed.

The last day of Girl Scout Camp

What an awkward age. She's cute though. She's barely awake but I'm making her pose for picture with all of her camp stuff.

Way to go Turbo!

This is her just as unaware as can be that she soon would meet a Porche Boxter up front and personal... At least we have a helmet on!
Then here, the Porche in question that appears to have a door ding.

Then here is a picture of a healing chin from what happened on May 30th. I took this today, June 8th. She had to have her chin glued together in 2 places in the ER. Apparently, she's had something blue to eat from the looks of the corners of her mouth. That's been our luck these days. Hope yours is better!!

New bike!

Here we are trying to appear that we have a sense of balance...
Then we have the ole', Mom.. hurry I have to get a drink and my hands are sore. (from steering I guess?)
Then this one's for me... I love this angle. (angel)

And now we're trying to pose like the Price is Right ladies. What a cool gift and we're gonna have so much fun on it since the weather is so nice now. I'm gonna go take a nap though...

I don't know if I can take it anymore

I know there comes a time when we have to realize that our child(ren) is growing up and there's nothing we can do about it. But, when you see your little one singing a beautiful song like "He's got the whole world in His hands", it starts to hit you like a MAC truck. I sat in amazement making a fool out of myself there at this simple little graduation and the tears were just flowing uncontrolably. I've been wheepy lately anyway but this really was a joyous occasion of being extremely proud of who I'm raising. Well, who we're raising. I've missed the last several meetings for Girl Scouts up until tonight due to my work schedule stealing my time from my little squirrel. But, I was blessed enough to share this time with her and see her be her own little person with a beautiful personality up there on the stage while she graduated from 4th grade Girl Scouts. She amazes me sometimes you know? I wonder how someone like me can have such a great little girl. I guess I'll never know. Gotta go get a kleenex... hope all is well in your world, I'm still trying to figure out if it's well in mine. I'm blessed though- in many ways anyway. Mother's day was a bust oh well, there's next year right around the corner. Oh, and to get a better look, you can double click on the picture.

Happy Easter!!

Well, the Easter Bunny brought the squirrel the Littlest Pet Shop set. Well, one of the dozens that are out there. This is as you can see... the "fun in the bathtub" one.

Then, with Spongebob on in the background.... her with her basket that has already been taken apart. We've got just a little something planned for our little family of 3 today before I get to go to work at 2:30. Hey Mom and Dad--- I miss ya and love you!

Azaleas

This is from the neighbor's yard across the street from us. As you can see, "Lambie" had to be in the picture too!
Then here we have my personal favorite of the azalea colors--white.
This is my favorite of her of this bunch.

Then, the pre-teen who's on the phone with her Nini from Arizona teaching her a wonderful new vocabulary. Thanks MOM!
HAPPY EASTER! We're going to a flashlight egg hunt at the park in a little bit. Better go get my eggplant/sausage caserole made.

Red Eyed Doggie

This is my fabulous dog Elvis. I took the picture so you could see what a cool dog pillow he has now. He's officially an inside dog now. We've tried to have another dog a few times but it hasn't worked out. Elvis has had to be an outside dog with the other dogs we've tried because I just won't have to big dogs in the house and I'm not home enough. Now, red eyes here is the house dog that will lounge around on his pillow and chew on his toys that squeek and not have to worry about any other dog tearing up his favorite toys like before. And, he gets good dog food again because now, I'm only feeding one. I couldn't get him to look at the camera. He's kinda scared of the flash. Weird.

Our field trip

These are some fun pictures from last week. They're of Annalese and her wind blown new hair cut and her friends. The one of her fishing is at a fish hatchery we have here in East Texas and we had an amazing time that day. The weather worked out perfectly. The coolest thing was watching her cast the line into the pond there and the smile she got on her face when she finally did it with out getting it stuck in a tree. Then this next one is of her and 2 of her friends. They seem to watch out for her and are really sweet and funny kids. I'm glad I could finally spend some time with them to make sure they were good kids... they are and they're down for my kiddo.

Then, here's the more grown up look and I'm just not sure if I should've gotten her more of just a bowl cut or something. LOL She's growing up despite my efforts to keep her little. What a gorgeous little belle.

We got her hair did

I had to upload this so Mom could see it. And, I'd stay and chat but I came home from a hard night at dispatch at the PD and there's a bottle of wine on ice, candles and a bath drawn for me so I need to go THANK someone!!

Merry Christmas

There was a lot of fun to be had for Christmas today! We had G-man's parents over for the Eve and they stayed all night. It was lovely. I do, however, miss my parents in Arizona and wish like heck I could hug em' for my ultimate Christmas present. Absence makes the heart grow fonder... or whatever. I don't know if that makes me feel any better. But, I'm thankful for our little family of 3 here that are happy and healthy....except for the pneumonia I'm getting over. Hope you and yours had a great one!

Some After School Fun

You could call them the 3 Stooges after the way they behaved today, but they had a good time. The squirrel is with her friend and former nieghbor from our previous house out here. Oh, and her friends' brother too. I think I'm getting this sick funk that is going around. I can't get warm to save my life because of the chills. And I took my temp earlier today so I know that was a true sign of something coming on. I hope I get a mild case of it and that the whole family doesn't get it. The office is passing it back and forth, so I guess it's my turn. I have an interview with the Police Department for the Dispatch position I put in for about a month ago. I hope it goes well. I just want to find a job that I like and stay there. It's of course a state job so it would have good benefits and it pays pretty well. We'll see.

I bet a lot of you thought I was high maintenance...

You Are Medium Maintenance
You aren't as hard to deal with as some girls
But you aren't the most laid back chick either
You're easy to deal with 90% of the time, but watch out for that 10%!
If the guy you are with has good intentions, then calm down a little
But if he's really screwing up, don't waste your breath - move on :-)
Are You High Maintenance?

Happy 10th to US!!!

You know what? Lot's of people doubted we'd even make it past 10 days. Then, it was 10 months.. now it's 10 years! Tomorrow, the 4th of May; we will be celebrating our 10 years of marriage. Like everyone else, we've had our little bumps in the road. But, through it all... love has found a way. We celebrate not only the 10 years together, but a beautiful 8 year old daughter and a home we've been blessed with. To top it off, a new life in a new city with new friends. Thank you God... we owe you our lives.

It started out, a chance meeting in Phoenix working for Southwest Airlines in 1995. We married after only dating 5 months. I was 19 and he was 31 when we met. We had a beautiful little intimate wedding in Louisiana where his family lives and was held in the beautiful house that his brother and his wife lived. Then, for the honeymoon... it was nothing but the best. We went back to his parents house and ordered pizza from Papa John's. Then, off to bed in the trailer that belonged to my new parents-in-law that sits in their driveway. Might have been a few steps behind a trip to Hawaii, but it was bliss for us. To all of those who believed in us.... "Thanks". To those that didn't.... Mark--- he he he. Who knew? Right?

Yeah springtime and Happy Easter!!

The Azalea's are blooming, the dogwood trees are flowering... and the magnolia trees are looking beautiful. All the signs of the south. This was taken just up the road a bit on a beautiful spring afternoon. What more could you ask for? Isn't she beautiful?!?!?!
